Tina & Mike Still Need Help!

As many of you know by now, `hellfirediva and her husband Mike are in some deep financial trouble.

Thebank is getting ready to foreclose on her and her husband Mike's home. She is in need of about $6000 to get the payments back up to snuff. Atlast count that I saw the tote was about $2065. This is what we've beenable to raise in the last 48 hours! We're 37% of the way there! Let's keep this rolling!

Tinaand Mike haven't been sitting on their hands either. Mike went to thebank this morning and managed to get a 14 day extension, to avoidforeclosure.

If you don't mind, I'd like to take a moment togive you an idea of what happens when your home is foreclosed on. Firstunderstand, this is a legal proceeding. The lawyers for the bank go tothe courts and legally obtain ownership of your home. Depending uponthe state, you will have anywhere from 30 to 60 days to vacate theproperty. If you don't leave it, the Sheriffs department is chargedwith bodily removing you from the property, with or without yourbelongings. Once you have been removed from the property the bankassigns a realitor to sell the property. Here's that bad part, if theproperty sells for less than what you owed on it, you are stillresponsible for the difference and the sale price. Now, there areexceptions to this, like if the home was purchased under a VAguaranteed loan. Also different states have different laws, regardingwhen you can be evicted and the time you have to bring the note tocurrent. In most all cases, after the foreclosure proceedings start, the only amount that the banks will accept is full payoff of the loan.

I know that money is tight all over the world, but here is where small sums quickly can make a difference!

Kirk =yamiyalo has put up a journal and started a "Chipin" account here: [link] in order to take donations. You can read about this in Kirk's Journal, here: [link]
You'llnote that Kirk mentions buying Tina's prints. People, she won't getthis money fast enough! She needs it now and needs it fast!
If youcan spare $5 $10 $20 or even more it would be very helpful. In theevent that we can't raise enough in time, this money will go for theirrelocation to an apartment.

I've discussed this situation withTina, she never asked for anyone's help, and she and her husband Mikenever expected this. She's a very proud person, as many of us are, andI know she's embarrassed by it all. I've been where she is and know ithurts. I also know the feeling when you do get helped out, and yourhome is safe again from the "wolves".
